Kim, Amanda and Nina are the staples to make this the diamond class experience of both Kanata and Stittsville. Ricky, Charles and Willy (Also around for a chat) makes an amazing breakfast (best bacon in Ottawa imo) that brings me back over and over again! Fully recommend for both price and quality, never let down here.

We had an amazing experience at kal’s today! The breakfast was absolutely fantastic—everything was fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. What made our visit even better was the outstanding service from Amanda. She clearly loves her job and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was kind, courteous, and attentive, always checking in and ensuring we had everything we needed, including fresh coffee. Thank you, Amanda, for making our morning so enjoyable! We’ll definitely be back.

What a wonderful hidden gem in this corner of Kanata!! If you are looking for a busy and homey breakfast diner of yesteryear, this is the perfect place. It's almost like you step into the movie set of Corner Gas and visit The Ruby. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming, the service is quick and nice, the food is served hot and fresh in generous portions. And what I loved especially was getting served some coffee immediately after entering before ordering!!! Love it first thing in the morning :) Now don't all come here at the same time, it's so busy it might be hard to get a spot during rush hours! But they have all day breakfast so if you come later its still available

I visited in a Sunday around 9:30 and it was crowded. We had to wait for - 10 minutes to have a sit, but the experience was really good! The food was tasty and the waiters were super kind. Recommended!

The perfect little diner with home cooked meals for a reasonable price... even these days. Kim is a beautiful, friendly hostess who had my meal on the table in no time. I'll definitely be back.

I’ve heard so many great things about Kal’s that I just had to try it for myself. Best scrambled eggs and home fries I’ve ever had. The hollandais sauce is very flavourful and goes so well on the eggs Benedict with the smoked meat. This just might be our new breakfast place.

I’ve been living in Kanata for many years and don’t know why I haven’t stopped in before. I went for Sunday breakfast and they had a steady flow of clients, with approximately 12 tables and a small bar area. Ordered a standard breakfast. Eggs, sausage, potatoes - everything was perfect. The server was very friendly and you could tell she had rapport with many regular patrons. Highly recommend this spot for typical North American fare, and it’s a great chance to support an independent business.
